THE LAST GAMES OF 2008 (article in English and Español)

We are arriving to the last days of 2008 and the European soccer teams will play their last games of the year during this weekend-except the English Premier League, whose team will play during the Christmas´s days-and of course we will have interesting games in many championships as the Spanish, English, Turkish and Italian.

So, it is practically impossible to predict what level can offer this Sunday, but of course it is clear that it must play with great intensity and concentration, without absurd mistakes, if gunners want to have any chance to beat one of the European stronger teams, since Liverpool FC is showing an incredible level and a winning mentality in all the games, both when it plays at Anfield Road as when it plays far from its Stadium-Rafa, it was time to be a little courageous and ambitious!-, and of course the number are clear, since it has lost only one game both in Premier and in Champions League and its record as visitor is excellen-6 wins (including the win at Stamford Bridge), 1 draw and one defeat (it was at White Hart Lane in the last minute of the game).So great numbers and these has arrived thanks to the great job of players like Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt or Fernando Torres-he is injured and he will return to play next January-. Anyway, we'll see if Fabregas, Van Persie, Adebayor and the other gunners play without any complex and it can beat Liverpool or if Arsenal has another typical fool day and it does not show a competitive level and they lose the game and the Premier.

In addition we also want to remark the Turkish derby-the Süper Lig stops until the next 21 January-between 2 Istanbul´s team, the Galatasary SK and Besiktas JK. This is an important derby for both team and especially for Besiktas, since the Mustafa Denilzi´s team is in 6th position of the standing with 28 points(Galatasary has 30 points and the leaders, Sivasspor and Trabzonspor, 31 points)and thus, if Besiktas lose the game, it will have an important gap to recover and besides a lose could have moral consequences, since until this moment Besiktas has not won any important game played against a top team during this season, since in the Süper Lig it lost the games played against Fenerbahçe, Kayserispor and Ankaraspor and it drawn the games played against Sivasspor and Trabzonspor, and even against Bursaspor. So it showed a very poor level when it played against the top Turkish team and therefore it is important to win this game to show to the other rivals and to the fans that the team is here, is ready to battle until the end to win the Championship. Finally, we want to remark other Sunday´s game(at 20.30), the game at San Siro between AC Milan and Udinese Calcio, because it can be a very dangerous game for AC Milan, since although the Udine´s team is not showing a good performance at this moment-it could not win its last 7 consecutive games of the Serie A-and therefore it should not show much trouble to AC Milan(although the Lombard team is not having a good moment, because without Gattuso and besides an important player as Pirlo far from his best level, the team does not have the proper spark and it arrives to this game after the bad game at Torino against Juve and after the pyrrhic Uefa´s draw against Wolfsburg -it finished as second of the group and now it will play against a former Champions League´s team-), it must be said that Udinese is a very dangerous team and especially for the old Milan defensive line, since this line will have many problems to stop the play of the Udinese superb duo Antonio Di Natale ( 7 goals in 10 games) and Fabio Quagliarella (6 goals in 16 games), because they are 2 players with great mobility and they are a constant threat to rival defensive line. So much attention to this game, because we can see an AC Milan´s defeat....- Moreover, it will be a good opportunity to see the performance of the one of the best central midfielder in the Serie A, Gökhan Inler, who can arrive to a big team during the next market, even AC Milan can be his destination (we will his price, but I think it will not be 20 million euros as Diarra and for example 10-12 can be a good price).

Finally, of course remember that the Argentine Torneo Apertura is arriving to the end and it is possible that San Lorenzo is the new champion if it win the Saturday´s game against Boca Juniors-Boca Juniors, San Lorenzo and Tigre are playing 3 decisive games to look for the new champion(San Lorenzo beat Tigre last Wednesday).

ÚLTIMA JORNADA DEL 2008 (article in English and Español)

Estamos llegando a los últimos días del año 2008 y los equipos de fútbol europeos encaran sus últimos compromisos antes de disfrutar de unos días de descanso para recuperar energía y reflexionar sobre como enfrentarse a la decisiva segunda vuelta del campeonato.
Pero antes del descanso viviremos el sorteo de la Champions League y una última jornada de liga que promete fuertes emociones en todos los campeonatos y especialmente en España, Inglaterra, Turquía e Italia.

Por un lado, veremos cual es el estilo de juego del Real Madrid de Juande, si la táctica de equipo pequeño y conformista, empleada en el Camp Nou el pasado sábado, va a ser el signo de identidad durante los próximos 6 meses o si lo del sábado fue un simple accidente, pesadilla para los aficionados del Real Madrid, y el equipo de Juande va a ser un equipo ofensivo, que lleve la iniciativa de los partidos y sin limitarse a defender y esperar un error del rival para poder marcar un gol(de todas formas si el salvador del equipo tiene que ser Lassana Diarra, pues apañados van, pues aunque ahora lo quieran vender como el nuevo Vieira, es simplemente un jugador normal, no mejora lo que pueda aportar Javi García y ni por asomo es el amo y señor del Portsmouth como dice el periodista Fernando Carmona en el diario Marca. A lo mejor yo veo o veía otro Portsmouth, pero creo que Diarra estaba muy por debajo en cuanto a importancia a jugadores como Sulley Ali Muntari-el Inter pagó por él 15 millones de euros el pasado verano, ¿cómo es posible que con relación a Diarra se hable de un traspaso de 20-22 millones de euros?-, Niko Kranjcar, Pedro Mendes, Bouba Diop, Jermaine Defoe-desterrado por el visionario Juande, que no confió en este gran jugador y que en el Pompey lleva 16 goles en 28 partidos de la Premier, no está mal para ser, según Juande, un “paquete”, no?-). Una buena prueba de toque para medir el Real Madrid será el Valencia CF que visita el Santiago Bernabeu el próximo sábado a las 20.00 cet.y lo hará-si exceptuamos la baja del central Alexis- con su equipo de gala- incluso David Silva ya está a disposición de Unai Emery(ya jugó contra el RCD Espanyol y el Saint Éttiene)-, con lo que es probable que el Valencia ofrezca mucha más resistencia y seguridad que la mostrada en su última visita al Camp Nou-Maduro y Del Horno no están para jugar este tipo de partidos-.Así que partido bonito y peligroso para el Madrid, cuyo presidente, el gran Calderón, por si el partido va mal y hay abucheos contra él, se ha ido a Tokio para ver un partido importantísimo para el Real Madrid, la Copa Toyota entre la Liga Universitaria de Quito y el Manchester United y así se evita cualquier problema….

Pero si emocionante va ser el partido del Bernabeu, qué podemos decir del choque del Madrigal del próximo domingo a las 19.00 c.e.t entre el Villarreal CF y el FC Barcelona, en lo que será el último gran partido de este mes de diciembre para un FC Barcelona que ha rendido a la perfección durante su particular “Tourmalet”-ganó al Sevilla FC (0-3), Valencia CF (4-0) y al Real Madrid (2-0)-y que tendrá en el Madrigal posiblemente a su rival más complicado, pues el equipo de Pellegrini llegará a este partido descansado, sin partido ni europeo ni de copa del Rey entre semana, y con toda la plantilla disponible-salvo Joseba Llorente que fue expulsado contra el Sevilla FC-, con lo que posiblemente por fin veremos un partido en el que el FC Barcelona tendrá que jugar de poder a poder contra un rival que no jugará ni diezmando, ni acomplejado ni mal dirigido como ha ocurrido en otros casos en los que le Barça se enfrentó a otros “grandes”de la liga española. O sea que por fin podremos comprobar el rendimiento del equipo azulgrana cuando delante además de tener equipo con una buena defensa-Godín, Gonzalo Rodríguez, Marcos Senna-, también tiene calidad y mentalidad ganadora en los jugadores atacantes-Robert Pirès, Cani, Nihat Kahveci, Santi Cazorla, Guiseppe Rossi, etc-.Excelente partido para comprobar el rendimiento real de unos y otros.

Pero además de la liga española también habrá que estar atentos al gran partido del domingo por la tarde en Londres a las 17.00 c.e.t entre el Arsenal FC y el Liverpool FC. Un partido que puede ser decisivo sobre todo para el Arsenal pues de perderlo, quedaría ya muy descolgado del primer puesto (serían 11 puntos) y podríamos decir que el Arsenal en navidad ya se ha despedido del título liguero. La verdad es que este Arsenal es un equipo totalmente impredecible, pues es capaz de ganar al Manchester United o al Chelsea en Stamford Bridge y por otro lado, incomprensiblemente pierde partidos ante rivales inferiores como el FC Fulham o Stoke City, con lo que es prácticamente imposible hacer una previsión de lo que nos puede ofrecer este domingo, pero lo que está claro es que tendrá que jugar con mucha intensidad y concentración, sin cometer fallos infantiles, si quiere tener alguna posibilidad de doblegar al equipo posiblemente más sólido de Europa, el Liverpool FC de Rafa Benítez, que este año sí que está mostrando un juego de equipo campeón, tanto en Anfield Road como cuando juega como visitante-Rafa, ya era hora de ser un poco valiente y ambicioso!!- y los números lo dicen todo, en toda la temporada de Premier y Champions sólo ha perdido un partido-en el último minuto con el Tottenham-y como visitante sus prestaciones en la Premier son inmejorables-6 victorias (incluida su victoria en el campo del Chelsea), 1 empate y la mencionada derrota en White Hart Lane-y sin que estén acusando en demasía la baja de Fernando Torres-hasta enero no volverá a jugar-, sobresaliendo los Pepe Reina, Jamie Carragher, Arbeloa, Mascherano, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Dirk Kuyt y cuando esta al 100% Fernando Torres. En fin, veremos si Fabregas, Van Persie, Adebayor y compañía, plantan cara o tiene el típico día tonto-demasiadas veces presente en los gunners, como denunció William Gallas-y pierden no sólo el partido sino también el título de la Premier-que por cierto, no se detiene en navidad y durante los próximos días disfrutaremos de un auténtico maratón de partidos-.

Además también tenemos que destacar el derby de la liga Turca-la Süper Lig se detiene hasta el próximo 21….de enero-entre 2 equipos de Estambul, el Galatasary SK y el Besiktas JK, derby en el que sobre todo se la juega el Besiktas, pues el equipo de Mustafa Denilzi es 6º clasificado con 28 puntos, a 2 puntos del Galatasary que es segundo clasificado y a 3 puntos de los líderes-Sivasspor y Trabzonspor-, con lo que de perder este partido significaría quedar muy alejado de Galatasaray y además significaría que ser un equipo totalmente incapaz de ganar a un buen equipo esta temporada, pues si analizamos su trayectoria durante estos primeros meses de temporada, vemos que ha perdido con Fenerbahçe, Kayserispor y Ankaraspor y ha empatado con Sivasspor, Trabzonspor e incluso con el Bursaspor. Así que hasta hora, muy pobre bagaje mostrado ante los mejores equipos turcos, con lo que creemos que si este equipo quiere aspirar a algo importante, debería dar un golpe de autoridad y vencer en el Ali Sami Yen, lo cual se nos antoja complicado, pues por un lado el equipo carece de la contundencia necesaria, mostrando errores defensivos un tanto infantiles y en ataque, si bien es verdad que el equipo no juega mal y le gusta llevar la iniciativa del juego, vemos un poco solos a la dupla Matías Delgado-Mert Nobre (por ejemplo Bobo debería tener más presencia en el equipo y otros como Rodrigo Tello o Filip Holosko no están mal, pero quizás no aporten todo lo necesario para este Besiktas, que creo que debería fichar a un delantero como por ejemplo Mehmet Yildiz del Sivasspor que en los últimos años se está mostrando como una garantía de gol y además no sería un jugador demasiado caro).Pero además el Besiktas tendrá el problema de que enfrente tendrá un rival muy poderoso, pues el Galatasaray tiene de largo la mejor plantilla de Turquía y aunque tiene bajas importantes como la de Harry Kewell-lesionado hasta el mes de febrero- o la del combativo Hasan Sas-no jugará hasta el mes de mayo-, la verdad es que el equipo no las está notando y está mostrando un buen nivel tanto en la liga-especialmente cuando juega arropado por el caliente público del Ali Sami Yen, pues ha ganado 6 partidos y ha empatado 1 partido sin conocer la derrota, con 20 goles a favor y 5 en contra- como en la copa de la Uefa-ha ganado a equipos como Olympiakos del Pireo, Herta Berlin o Benfica- gracias al buen trabajo de jugadores como Morgan De Sanctis, Fernando Meira-Skibbe, Meira tiene que jugar de defensa central y no de medio centro, como a veces lo colocas!!-, el duro central Servet Cetin, el elegante Arda Turan y el decisivo y desequilibrante medio Lincoln-7 goles en la Süper Lig-, Milan Baros-por fin vuelve por sus fueros y está mostrando un gran nivel y olfato goleador y de hecho en sus últimos 4 partidos, ha marcado 7 goles y además si Baros tiene algún problema, Skibbe puede contra con jugadores como Nonda o el trabajador y combativo Umit Karan para suplirle-.En fin, muy buen equipo, que si estuviese mejor dirigido desde el banquillo no debería tener muchos problemas para ganar la Süper Lig turca para lo cual deberá dar un primer paso ganando este partido del domingo a las 18.00 c.e.t y el que será su primer partido de liga del año 2009-el del 21 de enero contra el actual líder, el Sivasspor-(el resto de grandes turcos tienen partidos más o menos cómodos: Konyaspor-Fenerbahçe el viernes a las 19.00 c.e.t-el equipo de Luis ganó por 1-2 tras un flojo partido y es líder provisional-, Trabzonspor-Eskisehirspor el sábado a las 18.00 c.e.t., Genclerbirligi-Sivasspor el domingo a las 13.00 c.e.t).

Por último, como partido destacado también queremos reseñar el del domingo a las 20.30 en San Siro entre el AC Milan y el Udinese Calcio, pues es un auténtico dardo envenenado para el AC Milan, pues si bien el equipo de Udine como conjunto ha bajado mucho en sus prestaciones-lleva 7 partidos consecutivos de la Serie A sin ganar-y por lo tanto no debería poner en demasiados aprietos al AC Milan-aunque el equipo lombardo tampoco está para muchas alegrías, pues sin Gattuso y con un Pirlo sin el ritmo adecuado, el equipo está falto de la chispa adecuada y se presenta a este partido tras la debacle en Torino con la Juve(esta derrota era muy previsible) y tras el pírrico empate en Uefa contra el Wolfsburg(ha quedado segundo de grupo y ahora jugará contra un equipo procedente de la Champions)-, hay que decir que este Udinese es un equipo muy peligroso y sobre todo para este Milan con una defensa tan envejecida, que va a tener muchos problemas este domingo para poder frenar a los desequilibrantes Antonio Di Natale(7 goles en 10 partidos) y Fabio Quagliarella (6 goles en 16 partidos), pues son 2 jugadores que forman un pareja perfecta de ataque, con mucha movilidad y generando peligro constantemente a las defensas rivales. Así que mucha atención con este partido en el que el AC Milan se puede llevar un fuerte batacazo….-por cierto, también habrá que estar atentos a las evoluciones de uno de los mejores medios defensivos de la Serie A, Gökhan Inler, que durante el próximo mercado podría dejar el Udinese y recalar en el AC Milan, que seguro que no pagará los 20 millones de Diarra-.
Finalmente, indicar que este fin de semana se puede resolver el torneo apertura argentino que se va a dilucidar con un triangular entre San Lorenzo de Almagro, Boca Juniors y Tigre-de momento ayer, San Lorenzo ganó a Tigres, con lo que si gana el próximo sábado a Boca, será el nuevo campeón-.

JUVENTUS-AC MILAN (article in English and Español)

After the Spanish league´s derby, where we saw an expected game and FC Barcelona beat (thanks to 2 goals scored by the “Blaugrana” formidable duo, Eto'o and Messi) an ultra-defensive Real Madrid of Juande Ramos- it seems that this club has regressed to the criticized Capello´s period 2 years. If Real Madrid continues playing with this style, ¿how much time will be Juande as Real Madrid´s coach? if this club is consistent, this coach must stay only the 6 months signed-, now it is time to focus on the big game on this Sunday, Juventus Torino-AC Milan which will play at 20.30 c.e.t at Torino to decide which of this club is the real alternative to the powerful Inter Milan-today, it has an easy game at home against the worst team of the Serie A, Chievo Verona- in order to be the Italian Champion.

Although both teams come to this games with the same point in the standing (30 points), we believe that Juve is the favourite to win the game because it is showing a high level at home during this season-the numbers are: 5 wins, 1 draw – it was in September against Catania- and 1 defeat- it was on Oct. the 5th when after a dreadful game, it lost the game played against US Palermo(1-2)...since this defeat, Juve has won all the home´s games and beside it won in a compelling way (it beat AS Roma(2-0),FC Genoa (4-1) and Reggina Calcio(4-0)-. In contrast AC Milan has started erratic the season and especially when it plays away from San Siro, since as visitor it is unable to win a game since last 23 of October, which is very poor, since it played, except the game played against US Palermo (Palermo beat AC Milan, 3-1), not too complicated games, since it played against team like US Lecce (1-1), FC Torino (2-2) or FC Portsmouth (2-2).
As we have said more than once, the Juventus´s numbers are very deserving if we take into account that many Juve´s players are or were injured during these last months and indeed Ranieri has important absences for this match, since there are injured players like Buffon, Camoranesi, Andrade, Zebina, Trezeguet, Salihamidzic, Knezevic, Poulsen and Tiago. So, many important players will not play, which would be decisive for any team, but not for this competitive Juve, whose members of the squad are showing a very high level and the tiffosis does not remember that many player are injured thanks to the great job of the all the players and especially thanks to the play of the leather of the team, the superb Alex Del Piero who is making a perfect season-he scores important and decisive goals, he assists- alongside the other striker of the team, the powerful Amauri-he is perfect with his head…he is a very strong player-, and alongside the formidable Giovinco, when Ranieri is brave and he risks a bit-we want to see this player more minutes!!!-. But Juve is not only Alex and Amauri, since it is a strong team where we can find a mix of veterans and young players-Juve has a great future because it has many young and talented players, who are already playing well and it is sure that in 2-3 years, if they continue with their progression, they will be a very important and key players(the 24 year´s old versatile defender Giorgio Chiellini, the left back Cristian Molinaro-he has just signed a new contract until 2013-, the versatile Paolo De Ceglie -22 year´s old-, the midfielder Claudio Marchisio -22 year´s-, the defensive midfielder Momo Sissoko-I like this player, who is progressing every day and he can be the new Vieira, he is only 23 year´s old-, the Swedish offensive midfielder Albin Ekdal-19 year´s old-, Sebastiano Giovinco-21 year´s old- or the young offensive midfielder Iago Falqué). Después del derby de la liga española en la que se cumplieron las expectativas y el FC Barcelona ganó por 2-0 (gracias a los goles de la formidable pareja blaugrana formada por Eto´o y Messi) a un ultradefensivo Real Madrid de Juande Ramos-parece que hemos retrocedido 2 años y que el criticadísimo Capello ha vuelto al Bernabeu, si el Real Madrid juega de esta manera, ¿cuánto tiempo le damos a Juande en el banquillo blanco? si son coherentes y lo tratan como a Capello, no debería estar más de los 6 meses firmados-, ahora es momento de ocuparnos del gran partido del domingo, la Juventus de Turín-AC Milan que se enfrentarán a las 20.30 en Turín en un partido en el que los equipos buscarán convertirse en ser la única alternativa al todopoderoso Inter de Milan que tiene un partido cómodo en casa frente al último clasificado, el Chievo Verona, a las 20.30.

Si bien, ambos equipos llegan a este partido igualados a puntos (30 puntos), creemos que la Juve parte como favorito para llevarse el triunfo porque por el momento está mostrando un gran nivel en casa pues en liga ha conseguido 5 victorias, 1 empate-fue en Septiembre contra el Catania-y una sola derrota-y esto ya fue el 5 de Octubre cuando tras un horroroso partido, perdió por 1-2 contra el US Palermo…desde entonces 4 victorias y la mayoría contundentes(2-0 al AS Roma, 4-1 al FC Genoa y 4-0 a la Reggina Calcio)-.En cambio el AC Milan no acaba de arrancar y a su juego irregular hay que unirle que fuera de San Siro es incapaz de ganar un partido desde el 23 de octubre y eso que no ha tenido partidos demasiado complicados, ya que, salvo contra el US Palermo(perdió el AC Milan por 3-1), ha jugado contra equipos medios como el US Lecce (1-1), FC Torino (2-2) o el FC Portsmouth en Uefa (2-2).
Como hemos dicho más de una vez, los números de la Juve son muy meritorios teniendo en cuenta la plaga de lesiones que han sufrido el equipo de Ranieri y de hecho para este partido no va poder contar con jugadores como Buffon, Camoranesi, Andrade, Zebina, Trezeguet, Salihamidzic, Knezevic, Poulsen y Tiago. Es decir, muchísimas e importantes bajas y que serían definitivas para cualquier equipo normal, pero no para esta Juve en la que por supuesto sobresale un rejuvenecido Alex Del Piero que sigue callando bocas y está haciendo una temporada espectacular junto a su compañero en el ataque, el potente Amauri-cubre de forma fenomenal el balón y es un portento en el juego aéreo-y cuando Ranieri es valiente y arriesga un poco, junto al formidable y desequilibrante Giovinco-queremos que juegue más!!!-.Junto a los 2 delanteros, veremos a una alineación en la que se mezclan jugadores veteranos y jóvenes-la Juve tiene un gran futuro porque tiene bastantes jugadores jóvenesque ya están rindiendo bien y que dentro de 2-3 temporadas si siguen con esta progresión, van a dar mucho que hablar(el polivalente defensa de 24 años Giorgio Chiellini, el lateral izquierdo Cristian Molinaro-acaba de renovar hasta el 2013-, el polivalente Paolo De Ceglie de 22 años, el medio centro Claudio Marchisio de 22 año, el medio defensivo Momo Sissoko de 23 años-cada vez me gusta más y poco a poco me empieza a recordar a Vieira-, el media punta sueco Albin Ekdal de 19 años, Sebastiano Giovinco de 21 años o el joven medio ofensivo Iago Falqué). Si no hay ningún cambio, en principio la Juve jugará con: Manninger-está jugando bien, sin errores-;Grygera-cada vez está más suelto-, Mellberg-es un poco lento, pero lo suple con su gran experiencia-, Chiellini, Molinaro; Marchioni, Sissoko, Marchisio, Nevded; Del Piero, Amauri.

En el AC Milan toda la atención está semana se la ha llevado la enfermería rossonera, porque en estos últimos días el Milan ha sufrido bajas importantes-se unen a los Nesta y Borriello- como la de Bonera-una hernia-y sobre todo la del alma del equipo, Gennaro Gattuso que se ha lesionado loa ligamentos y ha dicho adiós a la temporada, lo cual es grave, porque sin él, el AC Milan no es lo mismo, sí ,Ambrosini, Emerson o Flamini son buenos jugadores y lo pueden suplir más o menos bien, pero evidentemente no tienen ni el carácter ni los galones del gran Gattuso. A pesar de esta bajas, el equipo es muy competitivo hay que exigirle más juego del que está mostrando, porque por el momento, lo único que vemos son muchas individualidades y poco juego colectivo, lo cual siempre es peligroso, porque no siempre el trío brasileño-Ronaldinho, Kaka(se quejó que con la llegada de Ronnie, está perdiendo protagonismo y que juega un poco retrasado), Pato-va a estar inspirados y si ellos no funcionan, aunque parezca increíble, no hay mucho más y por ejemplo Andriy Shevchenko aun no ha marcado en liga esta temporada, Filippo Inzaghi ya tiene 35 años y ya no está para muchas alegrías, Marco Borriello necesita ganar confianza para poder rendir en el AC Milan…Así que habrá que esperar a que el equipo rossonero, aprovechando el retorno del elegante Andrea Pirlo-estuvo 2 meses lesionados y está poco a poco recuperando la forma-, empiece a jugar mejor, llevando el peso del partido para que de esta forma lleguen mejores resultados.
Para mañana, en principio veremos un equipo formado por: Abbiati; Jankulovski, Kaladze, Maldini, Zambrotta-está claro que la defensa necesita nuevas caras-; Flamini, Ambrosini, Pirlo, Kaka; Ronaldinho, Pato.
En fin, buenos equipos y ahora sólo esperar que nos muestren un gran espectáculo.
También habrá que estar atentos este domingo al partidazo de la liga francesa entre el Olympique Lyon (34 puntos) y el Olympique Marsella (31 puntos) a las 21.00 c.et. y a lo que ocurra en la liga turca, pues el tropiezo de hoy del lider,el Trabzonspor, el Fenerbahçe se puede colocar a solo 2 puntos del liderato si gana su cómodo partido en casa a las 18.00 c.e.t contra el Antalyaspor

Este sábado podremos disfrutar de un siempre vibrante derbi entre el FC Barcelona y el Real Madrid en el Camp Nou a las 22.00 c.e.t. Un derbi que llega en un momento muy dispar para ambos equipos, pues uno de ellos vive momentos de alegría, tranquilidad y de satisfacción por los buenos resultados y el otro vive un momento convulso con crispación de la masa social y cambio de entrenador.

Como decimos el Real Madrid no está viviendo su mejor momento y en los últimos días hemos podido ver como el presidente del club, Ramón Calderón, poco menos que hacía el ridículo en la Asamblea de socios, en la que tuvo que oír de todo, pues los socios están muy molestos con la pésima gestión tanto económica como deportiva que está realizando el controvertido Ramón Calderón(lo último es lo que anuncia hoy la Cadena Cope en relación a un fraude en la venta de entradas que podría acarrear el descenso a segunda división del Real Madrid...Si en verano sólo se fichó a Rafael Van der Vaart, es por algo y no me vengan con milongas de que el equipo era ya muy completo…y por cierto, yo sigo preguntándome ¿dónde está le excelencia prometida tras la marcha de Fabio Capello?-de todas formas hay una cosa que no entiendo, cómo se puede pasar de alabar la llegada de Capello a pedir su marcha, cuando lo único que hizo Fabio es cumplir lo prometido, sin engañar a nadie, el prometió la liga y la consiguió…en fin, no entiendo como los socios y los medios de comunicación puede cambiar tanto sus opiniones-). Después de la asamblea “caliente”, la afición blanca tuvo que sufrir un deficiente partido contra el Sevilla CF, en el que lo único que se vio por parte del Real Madrid-además de los gritos de la afición de dimisión, dimisión dirigidos al palco- fue el orgullo de algunos jugadores merengues que querían evitar otra derrota humillante en el Bernabeu-por cierto, ya que hablamos del Sevilla CF, algún día nos explicará el entrenador, Manolo Jiménez, las razones por las que vimos un 11 inicial tan distinto en el Bernabeu y en el partido contra el FC Barcelona,¿estaba de coña cuando jugó contra el FC Barcelona? esta claro que las imprudencias se pagan, y caro-. Después de este penoso partido por parte del Madrid y unido al increíble comentario de Schuster de que es imposible ganar en el Camp Nou, la cúpula blanca tomó la decisión de destituir al antipático entrenador alemán, que fue anunciado en rueda de prensa por ese “extraordinario” director deportivo que tiene el Real Madrid, Pedja Mijatovic-quizás lo más interesante de la rueda de prensa, además de la presentación del nuevo entrenador, fue la confirmación de que los fichajes realizados son cosa de Mijatovic pues afirmó que el presidente nunca se había metido en los fichajes, o sea que Mijatovic es el culpable de fichajes como Christoph Metzelder(todo el mundo sabía que era un jugador propenso a las lesiones y de hecho en estos 2 años ha jugado 11 partidos en primera división), Roysten Drenthe(14 millones de euros por un jugador que no sabe centrar) o de salidas regaladas como la de Álvaro Arbeloa(el Madrid recibió 1,3 millones de euros), Ronaldo (7,5 millones de euros), Julio Baptista(costó 20 millones y se vendió por 9 millones) o la de Emeson( el Madrid pago 11 millones y un año después lo vende por 5), ¿cuánto cobrará Pedja para esto? de todas formas hay que ser un poco comprensivos con el caballero, pues pasa muchas horas engominándose y buscando la combinación perfecta para salir perfecto en la foto y en las televisiones….en fin, así les luce el pelo-nunca mejor dicho, jeje-. Como decimos en la rueda de prensa se confirmo la marcha de Schuster y la llegada de Juande Ramos para los próximos 6 meses durante los cuales cobrará 1 millón de euros(por cierto, ya que estamos con destituciones, podría el Sr Calderón hacer lo mismo con el inexperto entrenador de baloncesto del Real Madrid, Joan Plaza, que empieza a ser como Dusko Ivanovic, es decir, que un jugador cuando está bajo los ordenes de Plaza por arte de magia baja mucho en sus prestaciones y tenemos ejemplos como el de Jermiah Massey-está muy por debajo del nivel que nos mostró en sus 2 últimos años en el Aris de Salonica-y sobre todo el de Lazaros Papadopoulos-llegó al Real Madrid tras unos años buenísimos en el Dynamo de Moscú y después de un año y medio en blanco-en ambos sentidos de la palabra-, en el que parecía que nunca había jugado al baloncesto, se marcha cedido a la Fortitudo Bolonga y el primer día ya consigue 19 puntos y 14 rebotes y el segundo partido-contra FMP Belgrado-13 puntos y 8 rebotes….)

Los que nos seguís, sabéis que Juande Ramos no nos convence, que creemos que está un poco-o bastante-sobrevalorado y la verdad es que es totalmente impredecible lo que puede hacer en el Real Madrid. Habrá que esperar unos días para ver si ha aprendido de su experiencia del Tottenham y por lo tanto se deja de las probaturas absurdas que hacía cada fin de semana en White Hart Lane y aplica el sentido común, es decir, un jugador debe jugar en su posición natural y que el equipo sepa a lo que juega, sin cambiarle la forma de juego un día sí y otro también, pues lo contrario lleva a lo que lleva, como “magistralmente” nos mostró esta temporada en el Tottenham. Evidentemente habrá que darle un tiempo para juzgarlo, pero lo que hemos visto este miercoles contra el Zenit ha sido, como mínimo, peculiar, pues hemos visto al lento Metzelder jugando de lateral derecho-no sé si es la primera vez que juega en esta posición, pero yo siempre lo he visto jugar en Alemania de central (en el Real Madrid, lo cierto es que no se la ha visto jugar de nada…grande Pedja!!)-, pasando Michel Salgado a jugar de lateral izquierdo-también supongo que es su primera vez-…veremos si es una simple probatura o si es lo que veremos el próximo sábado en el Camp Nou (evidentemente además de esto, también habrá que ver que ocurre con Iker Casillas, si sigue en el banquillo o si lo de hoy ha sido un simple descanso para que pueda reflexionar sobre los errores que ha cometido en los últimos partidos).
En fin, tendremos las respuestas a todos estos interrogantes el próximo sábado, cuando el Real Madrid-no podrá con el mejor jugador del equipo, Arjen Robben, pues está sancionado- salte al Camp Nou para enfrentarse a un potente FC Barcelona, que vive un momento muy dulce y sin que nadie se acuerde de la moción de censura contra el presidente Joan Laporta que fue apenas hace 5 meses. La verdad es que el equipo está jugando muy bien, con mucho equilibrio, mostrando un juego rápido y una mentalidad ganadora, pues el equipo no se contenta con ganar, sino que quiere destrozar al rival, intentado marcar el máximo de goles y ahí está la serie de resultados que lleva (0-5 al Basilea, 2-5 al Sporting Portugal, 1-6 al Sporting de Gijón, 5-0 al Almería, 6-1 al Atlético de Madrid, 6-0 al Real Valladolid, 0-3 al Sevilla CF o 4-0 al Valencia CF), funcionado a la perfección la pareja formada por Samuel Eto´o (14 goles en 13 partidos de liga)-y eso que Pep Guardiola en verano dijo que no lo quería porque no tenía el nivel adecuado…en fin!-y Leo Messi (9 goles en 11 partidos de liga y 5 en 5 de Champions) y sin que de momento estén acusando la ausencia del lesionado Iniesta-se lesionó el 1 de noviembre y aun estará algunos días más de baja-.En fin, gran equipo que sólo nos presenta una incógnita, qué rendimiento mostrará cuando juegue contra un rival de verdad, porque hasta el momento no ha tenido partidos complicados, porque si analizamos los partidos que ha tenido hasta el momento contra los rivales con más nombre, vemos que el Atlético de Madrid no estuvo en Barcelona-quiero decir que no es normal que un equipo serio encaje 3 goles en los 8 primeros minutos de un partido-, el Sevilla CF presentó un 11 inicial que no era muy competitivo sin Romaric, Renato, Jesus Navas, Konko, Duscher y el Valencia CF jugó sin defensas-Maduro está muy verde y más si juega de central y Del Horno mejor no decir nada-y encima no pudo contar con David Silva….De todas formas si el FC Barcelona muestra el mismo tipo de juego, no tiene porque asustarse y podrá vencer a cualquier rival que se le ponga por delante, como creemos que ocurrirá con el Real Madrid este sábado, sobre todo si vemos muchos experimentos del lado “merengue”.

We are arriving to the Christmas´s holidays and therefore the European football´s team have played many games during this current season and we can extract one conclusion: there are 2 team, FC Barcelona and Inter Milan, which are showing a powerful level and they are the main candidates to be the European Champion this season.

We will speak about FC Barcelona in the next article when we make an analysis of the derby between FC Barcelona-Real Madrid (of course we will speak about dismiss of Schuster and the arrival of the overvalued Juande Ramos). So, on this article we will focus on the clear dominator of the Italian football, Inter of José Mourinho. We said many times that we are fans of the work of the Portuguese coach, who is our favourite coach, since it does not matter where is he, since his team is always a synonym of power, authority, tactical rigor and discipline( Mourinho demand the maximum to all the players and if some player does not work 100%, Mou takes hard decisions no matter the name of the player, as we saw during this season when José Mourinho was unhappy with the performance of players like Marco Materazzi-he is an Inter´s institution-, Ricardo Quaresma-this player has the same agent(Jorge Mendes) as Mourinho and of course it is always difficult to take hard decision in these cases- or Mario Balotelli-he is a “protégée” of the medias and the tiffosis). So, he has always a super-competitive team and of course now he is building an Inter with these characters. If we have to find a word to define the current Inter, this word is solidity, because it is a team built from the defence and where players have only one obsession in their heads: work and solidarity.If we say that Inter is a solid team and that a team rival has many difficulties to score a goal when it play against Inter- Inter has received 8 goals in 15 Serie A´s games (it has already played against the top scorer´s teams of the championship: Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina, SS Lazio, FC Genoa and Udinese Calcio)-, it is thanks to the excellent play of the different players like for example the Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who is playing very well since some year ago and we can say that he is the best goalkeeper of the year in the European leagues, showing a brilliant level, security and calm in each game. Obviously, Julio Cesar is not alone to carry out his task and he has the fortune to play alongside excellent 4 defensive players like the impressive brazilian right back, Maicon, who is showing an high level, being possibly the best offensive right back of the world; Walter Samuel and Ivan Cordoba, who are the perfect central defender´s duo, since one is brilliant with the head and the other is a very fast player; and the brazilian left back, Maxwell, who, although he is improving and playing with more confidence, is the worse player in this line and maybe it could be a good decision the arrival of a new left back, a player like for example Yuri Zhirkov (CSKA Moscow), who has the same characters as Maicon-if Inter could have 2 offensive back, it would be a more dangerous team-.

But besides this good defensive line is helped by the excellent work of the 4 hard central midfielders, whose main role is to defence and to help to central defenders and the backs, especially when Maicon is attacking. For this mission, Mou has finally opted for tough, powerful and experienced player as Esteban Cambiasso-the boss of the midfielder´s line, being a player, who never loses the place and besides he starts the play of the game-, the versatile Javier Zanetti and the competitive Dejan Stankovic and Sulley Ali Muntari-the player from Ghana should change his behaviour, because he shows too much arrogance with his rivals and some day he can have problems…-. So, we can say that the Inter´s rivals have always in front of a line of 8 defensives players and therefore they have many difficulties to can score a goal. But Inter is not only a defensive team, since besides it has a powerful attack´s play, being the top scorer´s team of the Italian Serie A-25 goals in 15 games- thanks to the strategies´s play designed by José Mourinho-Inter scores many goals in corners´s play or free-kick- and of course thanks to the talent of the team's best (technically)player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who shows a superb play in each game: smart, incredible plays and passes(it was wonderful the pass that he made to Maicon last Saturday at the Olimpico against Lazio),incredible vision of the game, beautiful and difficult goals ... in short, a super-player, who has only one problem, his complicated character, which produce a bad behaviour sometimes. In addition Zlatan is helped by the good work of the other strikers of the team as Julio Cruz-he is a synonym of effectiveness, being always in the right place-, Adriano-he is recovering his best level-, Mario Balotelli –he is a talented player and he has a good future-, Victor Obinna-mobility-, or Hernan Crespo, who is always a guarantee. So, Mourinho has a great starting line-up and if some of these players is injured or punished, he can find in the squad other very good players like Francesco Toldo; Christian Chivu, Nicolas Burdisso, Marco Materazzi, Nelson Rivas; Patrick Vieira, Olivier Dacourt, Luis Figo, Mancini, Quaresma or Luis Jimenez ... Who wants more? It is an excellent team, which does not have a rival in the Italian Serie A, since it is in the top position of the standing after a good start of the season(the numbers are: 11 wins, including the exhibits at the Olimpico Rome against AS Roma and against SS Lazio last Saturday, 3 draws and 1 defeat), with a gap of 6 points to its immediate pursuers, AC Milan and Juventus Torino, which will play a derby next Sunday at 20.30 c.e.t at the Comunale of Torino, where they will look for be the only alternative to Inter to try to win the Scudetto. If I must to chose one of these teams as the alternative to Inter, I think that Juventus has more chances to be, since it is making a very good start of the season, despite the decisions of Ranieri-Giovinco´s situation- and the “plague” of injuries in the squad-Buffon, Zebina, Andrade, Trezeguet, Camoranesi, Poulsen or Tiago ... -.So, presumably this team will have better results when all the players are 100%, although I think it will not be enough to win the title this year, because I think that it has a problem in the squad, since we can find players too veterans-Nevded, Del Piero, Trezeguet, Legrottaglie- and we will see if they can be all the season 100% and other player-Chiellini, Molinari, De Ceglie, Marchisio-,who has not the adequate experience to show a good level during the important moments of a game or the competition.
About AC Milan, honestly we do not think that it is a serious candidate to win the title this season, because it is showing a very irregular play without consistency and depending on an individual play of one the stars of the team and specially on a Ronaldinho´s shot and of course this situation is not the best option for a team in order to have chances to win the title…AC Milan has to do once a total change in the team in general and in the defensive line in particular if it wants to be an important team in Italy and in Europe again. They are some players, who were great players in the past, but now it's time to see the goodbye of players like Paolo Maldini (40 year´s old), Giuseppe Favalli (36 year´s old and of course he is a slow player), Emerson (32 year´s old), Filippo Inzaghi (35 year´s old) or Andriy Shevchenko (32 year´s old and he is already far from his best level). We will see if there will be some news arrivals-apart from David Beckham- during the next winter market... Anyway, this will be within a month and before we will have the battle for the second place in the Serie A between Juventus and AC Milan.
