The end of the market is near and the teams must concentrate to hit and to sign the correct players to play the second half of season with guarantees to get the objectives.
During the last days, we have not had much news, being the English Premier League the championship wIf we look at the English Premier League´s teams whose battle is to qualify to the next Champions League, the current protagonist is Aston Villa, because the Birmingham´s team has decided to strengthen its offensive line with the acquisition of the very experienced and powerful striker Emile Heskey (3,7 million euros)-this is an overvalued player and for example I did not understand his Liverpool´s transfer when it paid 16, 5 million euros for him, but he can be a valid player for Villa to have a substitute and complement to Carew and Gabriel Agbonlahor and he can score around 6-8 goals-. The Wigan Athletic moved quickly to find a Heskey´s substitute and it signed another overvalued striker, the Egyptian Mido, who is a player like Bobo Vieri, because he is only 25 year´s old and he has played in 9 teams until this moment. Besides, we have news from other Premier League´s teams which have options to play in next Uefa Cup, like West Ham United where we will see the play of a new offensive midfielder, the promising Savio Nsereko, who arrives from Brescia Calcio (6.7 million euros), or like Manchester City,whose last arrival is the good Dutch central midfielder Nigel de Jong-at the moment this is the only good City´s arrival during this month(19.5 million euros)- or Hull City which will be the new club of an experienced midfielder Jimmy Bullard, who arrived from Fulham FC after a transfer fee of 5.3 million euros. Moreover, we have news from the teams whose battle is to remain in the Premier League and for example Tottenham Hotspur is continuing its particular “players´s return” and after the Defoe´s reacquisition, Harry Redknapp decided the Pascal Chimbonda´s return to be the substitute of the injured Alan Hutton. Moreover Redknapp will also have in the squad the veteran goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini-he arrives on loan from Chelsea to replace Cesar who will play at Valencia-and the Honduran midfielder Wilson Palacios( the Spurs paid to Wigan 15 million euros, which is perhaps too much money for a player who is a good player, but he still has much to prove-he should take care of his behaviour on the field, because this season has seen 9 yellow cards-). There is also the return of Marko Babic to the Bundesliga after an unhappy period at Betis-he is a great player and it is sure that he will show at Herta Berlin again his best version(by the way, Herta is the new club of the good experienced Argentine defender Leandro Cufré, who arrives from AS Monaco)-and the signature of the controversial Croatian central defender Dino Drpic who arrives to Karlsruhe- I say that he is controversial because he is a player who has problems with gambling- casinos, and also because he is married to a controversial Croatian singer-model, Nives Celzijus, who has just published a controversial book about their private life (the Dino´s departure will be replaced by is a classic European football, Robert Kovac who has just signed for NK Dinamo Zagreb) - The arrival of the powerful midfielder Derek Owusu Boateng from Beitar Jerusalem to FC Cologne and the arrival of the left back Nikola Petkovic to Eintracht Frankfurt.

Turkish League: The main protagonist of the last few days is Alanzinho, since the Brazilian offensive player, after some very good years in Norway, where he was considered one of the best players in the league, has decided to leave Stabæk to prove that he can be a valid player for Trabzonspor(transfer fee of 4 million euros), where he will play alongside Yattara, who sounds again as Real Madrid´s player-he is a good player but I think that he is not ready to play at Real Madrid and he must improve and needs more experience in important and difficult European Competition games…but anything is possible with Pedja Mijatovic and Real Madrid-.

We will see what will happen during the next at Manchester City or Real Madrid or in players like Thiago Neves who is not too happy at Hamburg.

ÚLTIMOS DÍAS DEL MERCADO (article in English and Español)

El fin del mercado se acerca y los equipos están llegando al momento de la verdad para poder perfilar las plantillas definitivas para encarar con garantías la parte final de la temporada.
Lo cierto es que durante estos últimos días no hemos tenido noticias de grandes movimientos, siendo los principales protagonistas los equipos de la Premier Inglesa.
Si atendemos al orden clasificatorio de la Premier, en la lucha por entrar en la próxima Champions League, el Aston Villa ha decidido reforzar la delantera para tener el máximo de recursos ofensivos posibles durante estos próximos partidos decisivos y ha fichado a un delantero muy experimentado como el potente Emile Heskey(3,7 millones de euros)-siempre ha estado un poco sobrevalorado (el Liverpool FC pagó demasiado-16,5 millones de euros- por él hace unos años),pero puede cumplir bien su papel de complemento a Carew y Gabriel Agbonlahor marcando sus 6-8 goles-. La marcha de Heskey del Wigan ha sido suplida con la llegada de otro bastante sobrevalorado delantero, el egipcio Mido, que es una especie de Bobo Vieri, en el sentido de que pese a tener sólo 25 años ya ha militado en 9 equipos…vaya ritmo! cómo se asienta el egipcio en los equipos!. Además de las novedades en el Wigan, otros equipos de la zona media de la Premier se han reforzado para tener más opciones de finalizar en zona Uefa y así el West Ham United ha fortalecido la línea ofensiva con la llegada del prometedor mediapunta alemán Savio Nsereko procedente del Brescia Calcio (6,7 millones de euros), además se confirmó el fichaje del mediocentro holandés Nigel de Jong por parte del Manchester City-por el momento es lo único coherente que han hecho en el City durante este mes(19,5 millones de euros)- y que el Hull City será el nuevo destino de un experimentado mediocampista Jimmy Bullard por el que ha pagado 5,3 millones de euros al FC Fulham.
También en la zona peligrosa los equipos tratan de encarar la segunda vuelta con las máximas garantías para conseguir la permanencia y así el Tottenham Hotspur sigue con su particular operación retorno de jugadores y Harry Redknapp ha decidido que Pascal Chimbonda regresa a White Hart Lane y sea el sustituto del lesionado Alan Hutton. Además Redknapp también podrá contar con el veterano portero Carlo Cudicini-llega del Chelsea para suplir la marcha de Cesar al Valencia-y del centrocampista hondureño Wilson Palacios-los Spurs han pagado al Wigan 15 millones, quizás demasiado dinero por un jugador que sí, tiene buena pinta, pero aún tiene mucho que demostrar (debería cuidar sus comportamiento en el campo, porque está temporada ya ha visto 9 tarjetas amarillas). Además el Portsmouth está invirtiendo la gran cantidad de dinero recibida durante este mercado con las ventas de Defoe y Lass y se está reforzando bastante bien, con la llegada de los centrocampistas Hayden Mullins del West Ham, Jermaine Pennant-no le veo nada del otro jueves a este jugador y no entendía como el Real Madrid podría estar tan interesado en sus servicios, es rápido, pero poco preciso- y Pelé
del FC Porto-parece que se está estacando este jugador portugués que tan buenas sensaciones nos dejó en sus primeros partidos en el Inter de Milán-.Finalmente en Inglaterra destacar la llegada de Petr Lovenkrands al Newcastle United-recordemos que el delantero danés se encontraba sin equipo pues a principios de mes llegó a un acuerdo con el Schalke para desvincularse del equipo. Esperemos que Lovenkrands recupere la confianza y nos vuelva a mostrar el nivel que exhibió en el Glasgow Rangers-

Alemania: Posiblemente lo más destacado ha sido la decisión del Hoffenheim de fichar al delantero Boubacar Sanogo como sustituto del pichichi de la Bundesliga Vedad Ibisevic que se perderá el resto de temporada por lesión-Sanogo no estaba mostrando demasiado nivel en el Werder Bremer y su rendimiento en una incógnita, pero ya se sabe que el mercado invernal es complicado y sobre todo si necesitas un gran delantero, con lo que el líder de la liga alemana no tenía muchas más opciones para sustituir a Vedad-. También hay que destacar el retorno de Marko Babic a la Bundesliga tras un desafortunado periodo en el Betis-es un gran jugador que nunca encontró su sitio en el Betis y seguro que en el Herta Berlin volvemos a ver su mejor versión-, el fichaje del polémico central croata Dino Drpic por parte del Karlsruher-lo de polémico lo digo porque es un jugador que tiene problemas con el juego-casinos y también porque está casado con una controvertida modelo-cantante croata, Nives Celzijus, que acaba de sacar un libro un tanto polémico sobre su vida privada(la baja de Dino será suplida por un clásico del fútbol europeo, Robert Kovac que acaba de firmar por el NK Dinamo de Zagreb)-, el fichaje del potente mediocampista Derek Owusu Boateng procedente del Beitar de Jerusalem por parte del FC Colonia y la llegada del lateral izquierdo Nikola Petkovic al Eintracht de Frankfurt.
Liga Española: destaca la llegada de un buen portero serbio Vladimir Stojkovic al Getafe para suplir la marcha del Pato Abbondanzieri –Vladimir tiene que demostrar de una vez que puede ser un portero válido para jugar fuera de Serbia-o la marcha de José Edmilson al Palmerias-no estaba a gusto en el Villarreal, pues no gozaba de muchos minutos y ha decidido regresar a su país, donde por cierto veremos jugar a unos de los grandes fracasos de los últimos tiempos, Maxi López, que demostrará su “tremenda” calidad en el Gremio(no puedo entender como el FC Barcelona descartó a Kanouté-costaba lo mismo que Maxi- y fichó a este delantero suplente en River Plate…).
Liga Italiana: únicamente debemos destacar los fichajes de los experimentados laterales Manuel Belleri procedente de la Lazio por el FC Bologna y Claudio Rivalta procedente del Atalanta por el Torino FC.
Liga Turca: el principal protagonista de estos últimos días está siendo Alanzinho, media punta brasileño zurdo que tras unos muy buenos años en Noruega, donde estaba considerado uno de los mejores jugadores de la liga, ha decido dejar el Stabaek y probar fortuna en el Trabzonspor que ha pagado 4 millones de euros por este jugador que debe ser un gran complemento para Yattara.
Estaremos atentos a los próximos días en los que posiblemente veremos alguna sorpresa de última hora en el Manchester City o en el Real Madrid o en el futuro de jugadores como Thiago Neves que no está demasiado contento en le Hamburgo.

LO MÁS DESTACADO DE LA FA CUP

La Premier League cedió este fin de semana su sitio a la FA Cup, Copa que empiezan disputando más de 700 equipos, muchos de los cuales quieren hacerse un sitio en la sección de deportes de los periódicos ingleses. Los más grandes se enfrentaron con equipos de categorías inferiores dejando a un lado su apuesta por la Premier League.
En esta eliminatoria a un partido (en caso de no acabar en empate), sólo hubo cuatro emparejamientos de equipos de la Premier, entre los cuales el Manchester United se enfrentó al que será su rival en la final de Carling Cup, el Tottenham de Harry Redknapp. El entrenador londinense que ya había sido capaz de ganar con sus anteriores equipos a los “Red Devils”, tenía confianza en los suyos, pero en esta ocasión los de Sir Alex Ferguson cumplieron con los pronósticos y ayudados por los fieles aficionados de Old Trafford, pudieron darle la vuelta en dos minutos a un partido que Pavlyuchenco había puesto en contra.
El otro clásico de esta cuarta ronda se jugó en Anfiled, donde como si de un Déjà vu se tratara, el Liverpool FC volvió a empatar a uno con sus vecinos del Everton FC. En una semana dos enfrentamientos contra el Everton, siendo la única diferencia entre ambos encuentros, el orden de los factores, pero como todo el mundo sabe eso no altera el producto. En esta ocasión fueron los visitantes los que se adelantaron primero, gracias a una buena acción de Joleon Lescott-nos encanta este defensor-, pero ahí estaba la figura del capitán Gerrard para conseguir la igualada-memorable el pase de tacón del “Niño” Torres!!- y forzar un partido en Goodison Park donde se tendrá que decidir la eliminatoria.
El Arsenal tendrá que probar otra vez en casa tras empatar frente a uno de los finalistas el año pasado, el Cardiff City, quien parece dispuesto a luchar por el título otro año más. Los de Dave Jones impresionaron con un buen juego en la primera parte, pero ninguno de los equipos fue capaz de alterar el marcador.
Los de Scolari sí que cumplieron con su objetivo contra el Ipswich. Un Chelsea bastante firme dejó sin sueño al equipo de segunda. El doblete de Ballack, y la sentencia de Lampard dejaron buenas sensaciones sobre Stamford Bridge, lo que era necesario para unos ‘Blues’ bastante cuestionados en la liga.
En los otros partidos hay que destacar la derrota del Portsmouth, actual campeón de este campeonato, frente al Swansea, un equipo de segunda. Nathan Dyer, cedido por el Southampton, eterno rival del Portsmouth, abrió el marcador de Fratton Park, complicándose las cosas aún más para los locales antes del descanso debido a un penalti materializado por Jason Scotland(muy meritorio el trabajo del entrenador español Roberto Martínez en el Swansea, equipo al que se ha llevado una gran cantidad de jugadores españoles o formados en España como los laterales Fede Bessone y Angel Rangel, el central Albert Serrán, el zurdo Andrea Orlandi, el técnico Jordi Gómez y los delanteros Guillem Bauza y el potente Gorka Pintado-a los 30 años le llegó el momento de firmar un gran contrato a este bravo jugador donostiarra que tras su llegada a la Gramenet se convirtió en uno de los mejores delanteros de la 2b española-).

THE GAMES OF THIS WEEKEND (article in English and Español)

The weekend is here and therefore it will be time to enjoy with many football´s games in all leagues, although this weekend is not as attractive as others we have had, because, if we except the Turkish league, the other top European teams do not have complicated games. As we said, perhaps the more interesting games will take place this weekend in the Turkish Süper Lig, whose teams come back to the competition and besides they come back with essential games, since we will have direct confrontations between the top teams of the standing and it will be a grand occasion to check the level of the 2 "modest," Sivasspor Kulübü and Trabzonspor Kulübü, which will play against the powerful teams of Istanbul, the Galatasasaray SK and Fenerbahçe SK.

On one hand, the leader team, Sivasspor-it has 34 points- will receive at its 4 Eylül Stadium-on Saturday at 13:00 cet- the powerful Galatasaray-it is third in the standing with 33 points- which is probably the best Turkish squad and it arrives to this game after an excellent last results (its last defeat was last November 9, when it lost the Istanbul´s derby against Fenerbahçe, 4-1) and also with some calm after the extension of contracts of players such as the hard central defender Servet Cetin, the good left back Hakan Balta and the centre midfielder Ayhan Akman-15 games with Turkish national team-. Another negative aspect is that Galatasaray will play in poor ground conditions, which favours Sivasspor, which is showing an excellent level during this season with only 2 defeats and being a very solid team when it plays at home(7 wins and 1 draw with 17 goals scored and 4 received)thanks to the good work of players like the experienced goalkeeper Michael Petkovic-this is his 7th season in Turkey-, the Brazilian central defender Fabio Bilica-former player of the youth Brazilian national team and he arrived to Turkey after experiences in countries like Brazil, Italy, France, Romania and Germany- the right back Abdurrahman Dereli, the midfielder Musa Aydin- his contract expires this summer and Galatasaray is interested-, the Cameroonian striker Herve Tum and especially the striker Mehmet Yildiz, whose departure from the club seems near, cause his contract expires next summer and it will be very probable that a team like Fenerbahçe want him, because it is very difficult to find without a transfer fee a player like Yildiz, who is synonym of goals-I think the player needs to play in a “big” club to improve and to have more chances to play with the Turkish national team-.

Anyway, it will be a great game like the other important Süper Lig´s game of this weekend, the game between Fenerbahçe-ranked 4th with 32 points- and Trabzonspor-ranked 2nd with 34 points-. However, we believe that this game will not be as balanced the Sivasspor-Galatasaray´s game and the Luis Aragones's team will win it with solvency, because at this moment there is much difference between the 2 squads and besides the Trabzon's team has shown weakness when it played against top teams-it lost the games played against Galatasaray (3-0) and Bursaspor (2-1) and it drew the game played against Besiktas and Sivasspor (0-0)-and this is due to the players of its squad do not have much experience and quality if we except some of them like the veteran Senegalese goalkeeper Tony Silva, the central defender Rigobert Song-he is a professional player since15 years ago (in fact he was in the World Cup1994) and he is far from his level, but he is making a good work alongside the young Egemen Korkmaz- the right midfielder Serkan Balci- 21 matches with the Turkish National team-, the defensive central midfielder Hüseyin Cims –a loyal Trabzonspor´s player and besides he has played 27 games with the Turkish national team and he is making a good season alongside the young Selcuk Inan-, Ibrahima Yattara -interesting Guinean offensive midfielder and in fact it sounded a Real Madrid´s interest a month ago- and the strikers´s duo, Gökhan Ünal and Umut Bulut, both players of the Turkish National team and they has scored 13 goals during this season. So, this team has correct players, but frankly I do not think that they pose too many difficulties to Fenerbahçe, which, although until this moment is not playing very well, is getting excellent results and its last Turkish defeat was last October 5- since then it won all the games, except 2 draws- and it is almost sure that it will continue with this record, since the normal thing is that we will see a stronger Fenerbahçe during the second half of the season, because it is almost impossible to see again the absurd mistakes of the Volkan Demirel and of the central defenders or the poor level showed by Kazim-Kazim- if Kazim continues with the same level, Luis Aragones will have a new alternative for this position, the right midfielder Göhkan Emreciksin- or the intermittence of Semih Sentürk (2 goals in the league) and Dani Güiza (4 goals in league)- it seems that the Spanish striker was affected by sentimental problems with his girlfriend, “the famous” Nuria Bermudez, and even when he scored goals, he had a sad face and it can be one of the reasons of his irregular level until this moment-. Anyway, this Sunday, the game at the Şükrü Saracoğlu (18:00 CET) is a great opportunity for Fenerbahçe to show it is a serious candidate to be the league´s Champion.

For the rest, we will pay attention to some games like: the English FA Cup´s games-the most interesting will be Tottenham Hotspur-Manchester United (Saturday at 18:15 cet) and the Liverpool´s derby (on Sunday at 17:00 cet one week later we will have again this derby and of course we will see a similar game) - the Italian league´game- the most interesting matches will be Juventus- Fiorentina (on Saturday at 20:30 cet) and SSC Napoli-AS Rome on Sunday at 15:00 CET (it will be a crucial and difficult match for Roma, because it will play without Totti and Doni and it must win at San Paolo if it wants to keep the chances to play tnext Champions League-if it lose this game, it will be a gap of 6 points between Roma and Napoli) and the games of the giants of the Spanish league-both teams have comfortable games, because neither Numancia and Deportivo La Coruña can be rivals for FC Barcelona (Saturday at 22:00 cet-I suppose that the problems and discussion between Pep Guardiola and Samuel Eto'o will be overcome and the Cameroonian will be in the starting lineup) and Real Madrid (Sunday at 21:00 CET), respectively.

LOS PARTIDOS DE ESTE FIN DE SEMANA (article in English and Español)

Fin de semana o lo que es lo mismo, posibilidad de volver a disfrutar de partidos de fútbol en todas las ligas, aunque hay que decir que esta semana no se presenta tan atractiva como otras que hemos tenido, pues si exceptuamos la liga turca, en el resto de competiciones los grandes tienen, en general, partidos bastante cómodos.

Como decimos posiblemente el mayor interés este fin de semana lo tengamos en la Süper Lig turca que, tras un mes de descanso, regresa y lo hace por todo lo alto, pues tendremos enfrentamientos directos entre los 4 primeros clasificados en lo que será una ocasión magnifica para comprobar el nivel de los 2 “modestos”, el Sivasspor Kulübü y el Trabzonspor Kulübü, que se enfrentarán a los poderoso equipos de Estambul, el Galatasasaray SK y el Fenerbahçe SK.
Por un lado, el equipo de Sivas-líder con 34 puntos- recibirá el sábado a las 13:00 c.e.t en su estadio 4 Eylül al potente Galatasaray-tercer clasificado con 33 puntos- que es sin duda la mejor plantilla de Turquía y que llega a este partido tras un excelente racha de resultados(no pierde un partido ni de liga ni de copa desde el pasado 9 de noviembre cuando perdió claramente el derby de Estambul contra Fenerbahçe por 4-1)y además con cierta tranquilidad tras la renovación contractual de jugadores importantes como el duro central Servet Cetin, el lateral izquierdo Hakan Balta y el medio centro Ayhan Akman. Pero el partido de este sábado no va a ser fácil para el Galatasaray por varias razones, pues por un lado, el entrenador Michael Skibbe va a tener problemas para confeccionar el 11 inicial, porque va a tener bajas seguras: importantes como las del elegante Harry Kewell, el duro Tobias Linderoth y el correoso Hasan Sas; otras no tan importantes como las del central Emre Güngör-está sancionado-y las de los lesionados Ugur Ucar-lateral derecho-, Serkan Cali-delantero- y el central Murat Akca; y es muy dudosa la participación de 3 integrantes de la columna vertebral del equipo: el duro central Servet Cetin, el elegante y desequilibrante Lincoln-la presencia de ambos es fundamental para el equipo, pues Cetin es el jefe de la zona defensiva y Lincoln es brillante y en cualquier momento decide un partido con sus asistencias o goles(lleva 7 goles y 14 asistencias durante este temporada en la Süper Lig)- y el delantero Shabani Nonda-su ausencia no es tan importante, porque en el equipo está un formidable Milan Baros que está rindiendo de forma fenomenal y ya lleva 14 goles y 5 asistencias en 14 partidos la Lig y además en la recamara queda el correoso Ümit Karan-.
Además otro aspecto negativo para el Galatasaray es que el terreno de juego estará en pésimas condiciones, lo cual favorece al correoso Sivasspor-el líder sólo ha perdido 2 partidos en liga y en casa es un equipo muy sólido, pues no conoce la derrota(7 victorias,1 empate 17 goles a favor y 4 en contra)-, cuyos jugadores más importantes son el experimentado Michael Petkovic en la portería-ésta es 7ª temporada en Turquía-, el central brasileño Fabio Bilica-este internacional con las categorías inferiores de las selección brasileña es un auténtico trotamundos pues además de jugar en Turquía, lo ha hecho en Brasil, Italia, Francia, Rumanía y Alemania-,el lateral derecho Abdurrahman Dereli, el centrocampista de banda Musa Aydin-termina contrato este verano y se le vincula con el Galatasaray-, el delantero camerunés Hervé Tum y sobre todo el goleador Mehmet Yildiz, cuya salida del club parece próxima, pues termina contrato el próximo verano y dudo mucho que lo dejen escapara equipos como el Fenerbahçe, porque encontrar un seguro de gol como Yildiz a coste 0 son situaciones que se dan pocas veces y suelen ser aprovechadas por los grandes-creemos que el jugador necesita un cambio porque para crecer necesita jugar partidos en la Champions League y además estando en un grande tendrá más fácil la presencia en la selección-.

En fin gran partido y con un resultado bastante incierto como en principio, si atendemos a la clasificación, debería acontecer en el otro gran partido turco, el del Fenerbahçe-4º clasificado con 32 puntos-contra el Trabzonspor-2º clasificado con 34 puntos-. De todas formas, creemos que este partido no estará tan equilibrado y que el equipo de Luis Aragonés lo ganará con solvencia, pues hoy por hoy hay mucha diferencia entre las 2 plantillas y además el equipo de Trabzon ha mostrado debilidad cuando se ha enfrentado a equipos importantes-perdió con el Galatasaray (3-0) y con el Bursaspor (2-1) y empató con Besiktas y Sivasspor (0-0)-y es que si repasamos su plantilla, la verdad es que no encontramos jugadores muy experimentados si exceptuamos al veterano portero senegalés Tony Silva, al central Rigobert Song-ya lleva 15 años de profesional(de hecho ya estuvo en el Mundial de 1994) y ya está lejos de lo que fue, pero bueno de momento junto a Egemen Korkmaz está rindiendo bien-, el interior derecha Serkan Balci-21 partidos con la selección Turca-, el medio centro defensivo Hüseyin Cimsir-toda una vida en el Trabzonspor y 27 partidos con la selección turca y forma un buen doble pivote junto al joven Selcuk Inan-, Ibrahima Yattara-interesante media punta guineano que incluso sonó para el Real Madrid hace un mes- y la buena pareja de delanteros del equipo, Gökhan Ünal y Umut Bulut-ambos internacionales con la selección turca y entre los 2 han conseguido 13 goles esta temporada-. Es decir, correctos jugadores, pero sinceramente no creo que puedan plantear demasiadas dificultades al Fenerbahçe, que si bien es cierto que de momento no está jugando demasiado bien, hay que decir que se está mostrando imparable, pues no pierde un partido en Turquía desde el 5 de octubre-desde entonces lo ha ganado todo, salvo 2 empates-y es seguro que durante la segunda parte de la temporada, aún veremos a un mejor Fenerbahçe, porque es casi imposible volver a ver tantos errores absurdos de Volkan Demirel y de los centrales o un nivel tan bajo de Kazim-Kazim-por si sigue descentrado, Luis ha fichado a un centrocampista diestro, Göhkan Emreciksin- o tanta intermitencia de Semih Sentürk(2 goles en liga) y Güiza(4 goles en liga)-parece que le afectó bastante durante la primera parte de la temporada su separación de la controvertida Nuria Bermúdez, porque incluso cuando marcaba algún gol, Dani siempre mostraba un rostro triste-.
En fin, este domingo, el partido en el Sükrü Saracoglu (18:00 cet) es una gran oportunidad para el Fenerbahçe de dar un golpe encima de la mesa y demostrar que es un serio aspirante a conseguir el título liguero.

Al final como era previsible el Manchester City se está convirtiendo en el protagonista del mercado invernal tras su mareante oferta por Kaka, que ha puesto un poco de sentido común y declinó la oferta de un equipo que sinceramente no sé muy bien hacia donde va, pues realmente no entiendo los criterios que está utilizando para fichar-a ver, nadie duda de Kaka es una superestrella, pero ¿un jugador tipo Kaka es lo más necesario para un equipo que es el segundo máximo goleador de la Premier y uno de los más goleados-fuera de casa es el 3º más goleado? Diría que no, que en lo que tendría que centrarse el City es en fichar grandes jugadores-Wayne Bridge no lo es- para la zona de defensiva, sobre todo un portero, algún central y varios medio centros defensivos de calidad-parece que el primero será el holandés Nigel de Jong del Hamburgo SV, cuyo traspaso podría rondar los 20 millones de euros-. A partir de ahí, cuando el City sea un equipo equilibrado, seguro que muchos jugadores ofensivos de calidad, querrán venir, pero de momento venir a este equipo supone mucho riesgo y de momento me parece que se tendrán que contentar con jugadores tipo Craig Bellamy-buen jugador, pero nada más, en fin… gastarse 15 millones de euros por él…será uno más en la lista de delanteros del equipo: Robinho, Darius Vassell, Benjani, Martin Petrov, Felipe Caicedo Jo, Bojinov. Lo dicho, poco criterio-.

Junto al City, el otro protagonista del fútbol europeo está siendo el Espanyol de Barcelona, que esta viviendo un auténtico caos durante esta temporada y tratará de buscar un nuevo rumbo con la llegada de Mauricio Roberto Pochettino al banquillo blanquiazul-creo que por una vez han acertado los dirigentes “pericos”, pues Pochettino es un gran conocedor de la gran plantilla-jugó con muchos de ellos- y además tiene mucho carácter, con lo que seguro que veremos un nuevo Espanyol, un Espanyol con carácter, agresivo, con mentalidad ganadora-ahh y casi seguro sin Mari Lacruz en el equipo-….es decir, lo contrario a Mané, cuyo contratación puede ser calificada de frivolidad, siendo el gran culpable de la misma el controvertido director general Pedro Tomás, que a ver si empieza a tomar decisiones en lo que se refiere a fichajes simplemente basadas en razones deportivas. Además del Espanyol, otro equipo de la liga Española que también presentan novedades es el Recreativo de Huelva, que se ha reforzado bien con la cesión del técnico y polivalente medio argentino Cristian “Chaco” Maidana, que llega procedente del Spartak de Moscú.
Por lo demás, remarcar los movimientos en el mercado italiano, destacando la llegada del habilidoso Pablo Daniel Osvaldo al FC Bologna-no acabado de entender las decisiones de la Fiorentina, pues durante este mes se ha desprendido de 2 delanteros jóvenes y con muchos futuro, Pazzini y Osvaldo, ambos internacionales sub21 con Italia. Veremos cuál es el futuro de los 15 millones ingresados por la Fiore por estos 2 jugadores-, del mediapunta chileno Fabián Orellana al Udinese Calcio procedente del Audax Italiano, que percibirá 4 millones de euros-sigue la conexión del Udinese con el fútbol chileno, pues Orellana se une a Alexis Sánchez, Mauricio Isla y Nicolás Corvetto (incluso algún otro jugador chileno como Sebastián Pinto estuvo a punto de firmar en el pasado con el equipo del Friuli) y la llegada del joven lateral derecho brasileño Felipe Mattioni al AC Milan que llega cedido por el Gremio-es una buena decisión la de traerlo cedido para ver cómo responde este jugador en la exigente serie A italiana-.

Resto de ligas:
Turquía: lo más destacado en los últimos días ha sido la cesión al Besiktas del joven medio ofensivo sueco Erkan Zengin-este internacional sub21 sueco llega procedente del Hammarby y servirá para dar descanso a los Tello, Delgado o Simsek-, la renovación de los veteranos Roberto Carlos y Alex por parte del Fenerbahçe-sigo opinando que Luis Aragonés debería buscar otro lateral izquierdo porque Roberto Carlos ya está bastante mayor y su nivel ya no es demasiado brillante. La renovación del elegante Alex es una buena noticia, porque jugadores de su tremenda calidad es difícil encontrarlos y si lo tienes, es bueno conservarlo- y la llegada del potente Yannick Kamanan al Sivasspor, que quiere fortalecer la línea ofensiva con nuevos jugadores que ayuden a Mehmet Yildiz y a Pini Balili.

Anyway, a game, in which besides the performance of Kobe and Lebron, the “small details” will have great importance to decide the winner, which should be Los Angeles Lakers, specially if it takes care the paint and it imposes its power in the paint. NBA: EL GRAN DUELO DEL MOMENTO (article in English and Español)

Gran partido esta noche en el Staples Center de Los Angeles entre el líder de la conferencia Oeste-Los Angeles Lakers(31 victorias y 8 derrotas)- y el líder la conferencia Este-Cleveland Cavaliers (31 victorias y 7 derrotas, gracias a su 20 victorias y 0 derrotas en sus partidos en casa)-, o lo que es lo mismo un duelo entre los 2 candidatos-con permiso de Dwyane Wade, Dwight Howard y Paul Pierce- a ser designados MVP de la NBA, Kobe Bryant y Lebron James.
Es decir, partidos de altos vuelos, con el que Cleveland comienza una serie de partidos muy complicados-en 10 días los Cavs visitarán la pista de equipos muy potentes como los Lakers, Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Orlando Magic y Detroit Pistons- en la que tratará de demostrar que sigue siendo un serio candidato a conseguir el título de la Nba esta temporada.
Aunque todos los focos se centren en el duelo particular entre Kobe( 27,2 puntos-47,7% en tiros de campo, 36,5% en triples y 86,4% en tiros libres-,5,5 rebotes y 5 asistencias esta temporada) y Lebron (27. 8 puntos por partido-50% en tiros de campo, 29% en triples y 78% en tiros libres-, 7,1 rebotes y 6,7 asistencias esta temporada), creemos que la clave para decantar al vencedor de este partido habrá que buscarla en el rendimiento de otros jugadores de ambos equipos.
Por un lado, creemos que será muy importante el juego interior de los Lakers, tanto Bynum como Pau Gasol tienen que salir muy concentrados y jugar con mucha determinación para aprovecharse de las carencias del juego interior de los Cavs( Cleveland tiene lesionado al pívot lituano Zydrunas Ilgauskas-ofensivamente es el mejor pívot de los Cavs pues aporta 13,5 puntos (51% en tiros de campo) 7 rebotes, 1, 2 tapones- y sólo puede contar en esta posición con “Big” Ben Wallace y Anderson Varejao que son buenos jugadores defensivamente, ofrecen intensidad y trabajo-cada uno consigue 7 rebotes por partido-, pero ofensivamente sus prestaciones son muy deficientes-aunque hay que decir que Varejao poco a poco está mejorando su tiro, pero en fin…sigue siendo poco fiable) y conseguir el mayor número posible de rebotes defensivos para evitar de esta forma que jugadores como Lebron James o Mo Williams tengan segundas oportunidades, pues si ya cuesta ver fallar un tiro a Lebron o a Mo, qué podemos esperar cuando en un mismo ataque tienen varios tiros (Mo Williams está jugando muy bien, aprovechándose de las fuertes defensas sobre Lebron, y está consiguiendo muy buenos números y con buenos porcentajes: 16 puntos por partido-46% en tiros de campo y 93% en tiros libres, con 4 asistencias y 3 rebotes-, convirtiendo en el segundo en discordia tras Lebron, y supliendo el bajísimo nivel de Wally Szczerbiak que no está teniendo la importancia de otros años y apenas juega 19 minutos con 6 puntos por partido)-evidentemente también será importante para intentar para a Lebron la labor de Trevor Ariza, jugador que es sinónimo de concentración, intensidad y visión defensiva –gran temporada la suya con 9 puntos, 5 rebotes y 2 asistencias y sobre todo por lo que se refiere a robos de balón, pues es el 8º mejor jugador de la liga en robos de balón por partido(1,74) y el 2º en número de robos cada 48 minutos(3,4) y en el número de robos-perdidas por partido(1,62)-.
Además del juego interior, también deberemos prestar atención al juego de los bases de ambos equipos, pues por un lado Los Angeles Lakers pueden llegar a este partido bajo mínimos, pues además del lesionado Jordan Farmar, es posible que se pierda este partido el esloveno Sasha Vujacic-será duda hasta el último momento-, lo cual conllevaría que veamos jugando prácticamente todo el partido al veterano Derek Fisher-34 años-, que evidentemente ya no está en su mejor momento de forma y parece que está acusando el cansancio acumulado y por ejemplo su último partido no fue demasiado brillante, pues acabó con 9 puntos (3-11 en tiros de campo) en 41 minutos disputados. Por otro lado, los Cavs también tiene problemas en esta posición, ya que el pasado jueves, durante el partido contra Chicago Bulls, se lesionó el base titular Delonte West(12,3 puntos-este año está mejorando en porcentajes, 46% en tiros de campo, 40% en triples, 83% en tiros libres y 3,5 asistencias por partidos), lo cual es un serio inconveniente para el entrenador Mike Brown, pues durante las 5 o 6 semanas en las que Delonte va a estar lesionado, vamos a ver a Mo Williams con las funciones de base creador-no es su mejor role- y la incorporación al quinteto de un “olvidado” Sasha Pavlovic, pues el serbio estaba teniendo una temporada horrorosa, sin casi oportunidades y con un rendimiento pésimo, pero ya se sabe que el que tuvo, retuvo y el pasado viernes volvió a tener la oportunidad de estar en el quinteto titular y aprovechó la oportunidad, deleitándonos con un gran partido contra New Orleans Hornets, donde consiguió 19 puntos con 4-4 en triples.
En fin, partido en el que, además del rendimiento de Kobe y Lebron, tendrán mucha importancia muchos pequeños detalles para decantar el ganador, que en condiciones normales debería ser los Los Angeles Lakers, para lo cual sobre todo deben cuidar e imponer su ley en la pintura, que es el posición más desequilibrada entre ambos equipos.
