FC EVERTON-LIVERPOOL FC, THE FIRST DERBY OF THIS WEEKEND (This article is available in English and Español)

Many European soccer´s derbys will take place this weekend in different countries as in England-we will speak about this game on this article) or in Spain with Espanyol-FC Barcelona (Saturday at 22:00 Spanish hour), or in Portugal with Benfica-Sporting Lisbon (on Saturday at 2045 Portuguese hour), or in Italy with AC Milan-Inter (Sunday at 20:30 cet).

In this article we will speak about the first derby of this weekend that it will be at Goodison Park on Saturday at 12.45 British hour and we will be able to witness the game between two very competitive and aggressive teams, FC Everton and Liverpool FC. Obviously if we look at both the names of the players and the Everton's results when it plays at Goodison Park this season-2 defeats in 2 games (2-3 in the Blackburn Rovers´s game and 0-3 in the Portsmouth FC´s game), the Liverpool FC should win comfortably. However, Rafa Benitez must be careful, because the Everton FC´s manager, David Moyes- for me he is one of the best Premier League´s manager-, is a great strategist and it is sure that Liverpool FC will have a lot of difficulties to win the game, since the David Moyes´s team will have a very strong midfielder, formed by 2 offensive players-Mikel Arteta and Australian Tim Cahill, although the right midfielder Leon Osman has some chances to play- and 3 with a defensive role-the young Belgian Marouane Fellaini (he was one of the sensations of the Olympic Games and he arrived to the English club after a transfer fee of 18.5 million euros), the experienced and hard Philip Neville and the Ecuadorian Segundo Castillo. Along with this strong midfield-Moyes only will have the absences of Andy Van der Meyde and Steven Pienaar- we will see on the one hand the worker Nigerian striker Aiyegbeni Yakubu, remaining for the second time the Frenchman Louis Saha and on the other hand, a good defensive with very experienced players like Nigerian Joseph Yobo and the English Joleon Lescott –this is a great player and he can play both as central defender and as left back and besides he has attack´s projection-.¿ Will it be enough to disturb Liverpool? I honestly do not believe that, but we know the Rafa Benitez ´s football ideas and he know that he is too conservative and too little ambitious when his team play away from Anfield Road, but in many cases he is saved by the quality of the players like Steven Gerrard-he must play in the middle and never in the side! -, Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel or Robbie Keane, although for the moment Liverpool FC continues with the Benitez´s tradition in the Premier League when the team play as a visitor- Liverpool defeated Sunderland 0-1, although FC Sunderland played without the striker Djibril Cisse and the game at Villa Park finished 0-0-. So, I think that tomorrow we will see more or less the same and Rafa Benitez-he only has the absence of Philipp Degen- will want that his team play calm, waiting a rival mistake and if this mistakes does not take place, a pyrrhic point, every time a geniality of Arteta or Cahill do not spoil the plan and the game finish will a Liverpool FC´defeat.
Cheers,
J&F
